He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with §them 𝔐K 36.4% • 𝔐A(18),C PCK RP 26.3% ¦ them as their God 𝔐A(24) TR 22.9% • ECM† NA TH 1.7%them. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. 5 Then he who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And he †said 𝔐K [36.9%] ¦ said to me 𝔐A,C ANT PCK RP TR [58.6%]said, “Write this down, for these ‡are the trustworthy and true words of God 𝔐K [39.9%] ¦ words are true and trustworthy 𝔐A,C PCK RP TR [41.4%] ¦ words are trustworthy and true ANT CT [10.8%] ¦ are the true and trustworthy words of God MSS [5.9%]are the trustworthy and true words of God.” 6 He also said to me, “§I 𝔐C,K 42.9% • 𝔐A ECM 31.9% ¦ It is done! To him who thirsts I will freely give from the spring of the water of life. 7 *I will give these things to him who overcomes 𝔐K [42%] ¦ He who overcomes will inherit these things 𝔐A,C CT PCK RP [48.5%] ¦ He who overcomes will inherit all things TR [6.9%] ¦ These things will belong to him who overcomes ANT [0%]I will give these things to him who overcomes; I will be †his God, and he will be my son 𝔐C,K [58.9%] • TR [1%] • MSS [13.7%] ¦ their God, and they will be my sons 𝔐A [13.7%]his God, and he will be my son. 8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, ‡the sinful, 𝔐C,K [70.6%] ¦ — 𝔐A ANT CT TR [29.4%]the sinful, the detestable, the murderers, the fornicators, the sorcerers, the idolaters, and all liars, their portion is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven final plagues §came 𝔐A,C,K [99%] ¦ came to me TR [1%]came and said to me, “Come, I will show yoʋ the *wife, the bride of the Lamb 𝔐C,K 51.9% ¦ bride of the Lamb, the wife 𝔐A TR 26.2% ¦ bride, the wife of the Lamb ANT CT 12.7%wife, the bride of the Lamb.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me the †holy city 𝔐K [48.3%] ¦ great and holy city 𝔐A [33%] ¦ great city, the holy 𝔐C PCK RP TR [16.7%]holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God. 11 The city shone with the glory of God, and its radiance was like a very precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall with twelve gates. Twelve angels were at the gates, and on the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes ‡of the sons 𝔐K [44.1%] • 𝔐A(18),C ANT PCK RP TR [29.2%] ¦ — 𝔐A(22) [20.3%]of the sons of Israel. 13 There were three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the §south … west 𝔐C,K [48.5%] • 𝔐A(16) ST [13.1%] • SCR [1.5%] ¦ west … south 𝔐A(10) [5.6%] • MSS [5.1%]south, and three gates on the west. 14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the *twelve 𝔐A,C,K [75.6%] • MSS [18.4%] ¦ — TR [4%]twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

15 The angel who spoke to me had a golden †measuring 𝔐C,K [80.1%] ¦ — 𝔐A TR [19.9%]measuring rod to measure the ‡city, its gates, and its wall 𝔐A 48.1% ¦ city and its gates 𝔐C,K PCK 49.4%city, its gates, and its wall. 16 The city is laid out as a square; its length §is the same as 𝔐A(22),C,K [78.2%] • ANT NA TH [10.4%] • TR [1%] ¦ and 𝔐A(17) [8.5%]is the same as its width. The angel measured the city with the rod and found it to be twelve thousand *and twelve 𝔐C,K [53%] ¦ — 𝔐A ANT CT TR [42.6%]and twelve stadia. (The length, width, and height are all equal.) 17 †Its wall was 𝔐K 40% ¦ Then he measured its wall and found it to be 𝔐A,C ANT CT PCK RP TR 51.7% • MSS 7.8%Its wall was one hundred forty-four cubits according to human measurement, which the angel was using. 18 The wall was made of jasper, while the city was pure gold, like clear glass. 19 The foundations of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, agate; the fourth, emerald; 20 the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, carnelian; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; and the twelfth, amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls—each one of the gates was made of a single pearl—and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

22 I did not see a temple in the city, for the Lord God Almighty is its temple, and so is the Lamb. 23 The city has no need for the sun or moon to ‡shine, for the glory of God itself 𝔐K [39.9%] ¦ shine upon it, for the glory of God 𝔐A(19) ANT CT RP [28%] • 𝔐C PCK TR [20.2%] • 𝔐A(18) [11.8%]shine, for the glory of God itself gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24 The nations §will walk by its light 𝔐A,C,K [88.7%] ¦ of those who have been saved will walk in its light—the nations by its light MSS [5.4%] ¦ of those who have been saved will walk in its light TR [2%]will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring *the glory and honor of the nations to the city to present to God 𝔐K(41) [23.2%] • 𝔐K(30) HF RP [17.9%] ¦ their glory to the city 𝔐A CT [25.1%] ¦ their glory and honor to the city 𝔐C ANT PCK TR [19.2%]the glory and honor of the nations to the city to present to God. 25 Its gates will never be shut at the end of the day, for there will be no night there. 26 They will bring the glory and honor of the nations †to the city, so that they may enter in 𝔐K [46.3%] ¦ into the city 𝔐A,C ANT CT PCK RP TR [53.7%]to the city, so that they may enter in. 27 ‡No unclean thing 𝔐A,C,K [97.5%] ¦ Nothing that defiles TR [1%]No unclean thing §and no one who 𝔐K 37.5% • SBL TH 7.8% ¦ and nothing that 𝔐A,C ECM† PCK RP TR 44.4% ¦ that MSS 5.2%and no one who causes an abomination or a lie will ever enter it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.
