1 Then I looked, and behold, *the 𝔐K [60.5%] ¦ a 𝔐A,C PCK TR [39.5%]the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with him †was a multitude numbering 𝔐K [52.3%] ¦ were 𝔐A,C ANT CT PCK TR [47.2%]was a multitude numbering one hundred forty-four thousand, who had ‡his name and 𝔐A,C,K [94.9%] ¦ — TR [4.2%]his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven like the roar of many waters and like the sound of great thunder. §The voice I heard was like 𝔐C,K [74.9%] ¦ I heard 𝔐A(21) TR [11.6%] ¦ I heard something like 𝔐A(11) [7.4%]The voice I heard was like the sound of harpists playing their harps. 3 They were *singing 𝔐C,K 74.5% ¦ singing what sounded like 𝔐A ECM† NA SBL TH TR WH 24.7%singing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the one hundred forty-four thousand who had been redeemed from the earth. 4 These are the ones who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They have been redeemed †by Jesus 𝔐C,K 58.9% ¦ — 𝔐A ANT CT TR 35%by Jesus from among men as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. 5 No ‡lie 𝔐K [49.3%] • 𝔐A,C CT PCK [43.8%] • ANT [0.9%] ¦ deceit TR [6.5%]lie was found in their §mouths, for 𝔐A,C,K 89.4% ¦ mouths; ECM† NA SBL TH WH 7.7%mouths, for they are *blameless. 𝔐A,C,K [93.5%] ¦ blameless. These are the ones who follow the Lamb. MSS [5.1%] ¦ blameless before the throne of God TR [0.9%]blameless.

6 Then I saw †an 𝔐A(33),K 63.7% ¦ another 𝔐A(19),C ANT ECM† NA PCK SBL TH TR WH 31.9%an angel flying directly ‡overhead, with an eternal gospel to preach 𝔐A,K 65.4% ¦ overhead, with an eternal gospel to be preached 𝔐C PCK 22% ¦ overhead, coming with an eternal gospel to be preached MSS 6.1%overhead, with an eternal gospel to preach to those who §dwell 𝔐C,K [71%] • 𝔐A(19) TR [13.6%] ¦ live and dwell 𝔐A(20) [11.7%]dwell on the earth, to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people. 7 He said with a loud voice, “Fear *the Lord 𝔐K 49.4% ¦ God 𝔐A,C CT PCK TR 50.6%the Lord and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”

8 †A second angel 𝔐K 49.8% • 𝔐A,C ECM† NA PCK 38.2% ¦ Another angel TR 4.8% ¦ A second ECM† 2.8%A second angel followed, saying, “‡Fallen 𝔐K [55.8%] ¦ Fallen, fallen 𝔐A,C ANT CT PCK TR [41.9%]Fallen is Babylon the §great 𝔐A,C,K [87.6%] ¦ great city TR [1.4%]great! *She 𝔐A(28),C,K 67.3% ¦ because she 𝔐A(22) TR 15.1% ¦ she who ANT NA SBL TH WH 12.7% {Note: The readings of ANT, NA, SBL, TH, TR, and WH would change the preceding exclamation point to a comma.}She has made all the nations drink of the wine of the wrath of †her 𝔐A,C,K(39) [67.6%] • MSS [5.6%] ¦ this 𝔐K(38) [21.3%] {Note: In MSS the quotation reads, “Fallen is Babylon the great because of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, which she had made all the nations drink.”}her fornication.”

9 A third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives ‡a 𝔐A,C,K [84.3%] ¦ the ANT [14.7%]a mark on his forehead or his hand, 10 he too will drink of the wine of the wrath of God that has been mixed undiluted in the cup of his anger. He will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of §the 𝔐A(15),C,K [67%] ¦ — 𝔐A(22) CT [20.2%]the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And *the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. There 𝔐A(9),C,K [59.2%] • 𝔐A(12) ECM† [17%] • 𝔐A(15) [11.5%] • TR [0.9%] ¦ as the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, there 𝔐A(8) [3.7%]the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.”

12 This calls for the endurance of the †saints, 𝔐K 53.2% ¦ saints; this is a call for 𝔐A,C PCK TR 46.4%saints, those who keep the commandments of God and hold fast to their faith in Jesus.

13 Then I heard a voice from heaven ‡saying 𝔐K [48.2%] • MSS [6.4%] ¦ saying to me 𝔐A,C PCK TR [42.2%]saying, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, §and 𝔐A,C,K 87.1% ¦ for CT 11.3%and their works will follow them.”

14 Then I looked, and behold, there was a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 And another angel came out of *the temple 𝔐C,K [67.6%] ¦ heaven 𝔐A [32%]the temple, crying out with a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take yoʋr sickle and reap, because †the hour to reap has come 𝔐A(18),C,K [78.5%] ¦ your hour to reap has come 𝔐A(28) [15.1%] ¦ the hour has come for yoʋ to reap TR [5%]the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” 16 So he who was sitting on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.

17 Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven; he too had a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel, who had authority over the fire, came out from the altar and called out with a loud ‡cry 𝔐K 36.6% • 𝔐A,C ANT ECM PCK RP TH TR 50.4% ¦ voice NA SBL WH 8.5%cry to the angel who had the sharp sickle, “Take yoʋr sharp sickle and gather the clusters §from the vintage 𝔐A,C,K [96.3%] ¦ — ST [2.3%]from the vintage of the earth, for *the grapes of the earth 𝔐K 38.6% ¦ its grapes 𝔐A,C CT PCK RP TR 48%the grapes of the earth are ripe.” 19 So the angel swung his sickle across the earth, gathered the vintage of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 Then the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, as high as a horse's bridle, for one thousand six hundred stadia.
