7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that this extraordinary power is from God and not from us. 8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying about in our bodies the death of [e]the Lord Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our bodies. 11 For we who live are always being delivered up to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our mortal flesh. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
13 It is written, “I believed, therefore I spoke.” With that same spirit of faith we also believe, therefore we also speak. 14 For we know that he who raised [f]the Lord Jesus will also raise us [g]through Jesus and bring us with you into his presence. 15 All of this is for your benefit, so that grace, as it extends to more and more people, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
