About ReflectTheSON

ReflectTheSON aims to make the Bible available worldwide, especially in nations that declare the Bible illegal.

Why Another Bible Website?

The vision of ReflectTheSON is to overcome barriers so that everyone can read and share God's Word. Other Bible websites (with some exceptions, like Bible4u) have 2 shortcomings: (1) limited language support and accessibility, and (2) centralization. Sites like Bible Gateway support numerous languages, but relatively few versions there are public domain or freely distributable. Also, they rely on centralized servers so that a single point of failure can bring the site down.

ReflectTheSON offers 1109 Bible versions in 957 languages and dialects, all freely redistributable with few restrictions. Many are public domain. Furthermore, ReflectTheSON doesn't depend as much on centralized servers, meaning corrupt actors can't destroy or block the site from everyone with 1 attack. This is done using Interplanetary File System (IPFS) and Unstoppable Domains, which move everything to the blockchain – the same technology Bitcoin uses. Even the makers of IPFS and Unstoppable Domains lack the power to take down sites they don't like.

Why .crypto (or .x)?

Rather than use domains like .com and .org, Unstoppable Domains introduces new domains separate from the traditional Web that are much harder to censor. Two of these domains are .crypto and .x, with .crypto being the most universally supported.

Did you know: the "X" in "X-mas" represents the Greek letter chi (Χ), the first letter in Christ (Χριστός). So reflectson.x stands for Reflect The Son, Christ!

A Message to You

At ReflectTheSON, you're invited to read and study the Bible in your language, then share it with others. If you're not sure where to start, try reading John, which tells the story of Jesus, or Mark for something shorter. Before you begin, ask God to help you understand, and to make Himself known through what you read.
